We publish this page because we'd rather lose you cleanly than hold you hostage. Most coaching platforms hide cancellation behind a phone call and three retention pitches. We don't. Pick the scenario that fits — the action is one click.

If it's been less than 14 days since you paid the $299 Coach setup ($999 Studio) and you've decided Cadence isn't a fit, email us — we refund the full setup within 24 hours. No retention call, no "are you sure," no "what could we do." If we couldn't earn your business in 14 days, the answer's no.

Your monthly subscription started when your branded app went live. Cancel anytime in one click via the Stripe Customer Portal — same place you manage your card. No retention call, no "wait, let us offer you 50% off" tactics. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; your branded app stays accessible until then.

Either: open your Stripe Customer Portal link (sent in your welcome email and accessible from inside the Cadence dashboard), click Cancel Subscription. Or: email hello@vantagedigital.app with "cancel" in the subject. Both paths work. Same outcome.

Tell us why (or don't)

We send one short email asking "what made it not work?" — to learn, not to fight. If you reply with feedback, we read every word. If you don't reply, we don't follow up. Your business, your decision.

Export your data

Within 24 hours of cancellation, we email you a CSV + JSON archive of everything: your client roster, programs, training history, brand assets, payment records. Yours forever. Whether you go back to Trainerize or to a competitor, your work travels.

End of billing period

Branded app shuts down (and we tell your clients)

At the end of your current paid period, your branded coach dashboard goes inactive. We send a polite branded email to your client roster on your behalf letting them know the app is winding down — you decide whether to point them at your replacement platform or just say thanks. No "the app you've been using is now Vantage Digital" rebrand. Clean exit.

Cancellation FAQ

What's the actual refund policy?
14 days from your setup payment date. Full $299 (Coach) or $999 (Studio) refunded to the original payment method within 24 hours of cancellation. After 14 days, we don't refund the setup, but the monthly subscription pro-rates to your billing period — you only pay for what you used.
Do I have to call someone to cancel?
No. Self-serve via Stripe Customer Portal. The link is in your welcome email and inside your Cadence dashboard. If the portal isn't loading or the link's missing, email hello@vantagedigital.app with "cancel" in the subject. We respond same-day.
What happens to my clients?
Your branded app stays live until the end of your paid billing period. Before shutdown, we send a branded sunset email to your roster in your voice — you control what it says. Clients can export their personal training history. No "managed by Vantage Digital" rebrand. Clean exit.
Do I lose my data?
No. Within 24 hours of cancellation, we email you a complete archive: clients (CSV), programs (JSON), training history (CSV), payment records (CSV), brand assets (PNG/SVG). Yours forever. We delete our copy 30 days after cancellation unless you tell us to delete it sooner.
Can I pause instead of canceling?
Yes — email us. We can pause billing for up to 90 days (no charges, app stays read-only for clients). Useful for sabbaticals, surgery recoveries, busy weeks. Pause is free. Re-activate via reply email when you're back.
If I'm an affiliate partner, what happens to my commissions when a client I referred cancels?
If your referred coach cancels within their 14-day window, your commission is clawed back (this is the only clawback we do). After 14 days: you keep everything you've already been paid, no clawbacks ever. See /partners for full terms.
Why do you publish this so openly?
Two reasons. First: we'd rather lose a coach cleanly than hold them hostage with a hidden cancellation flow — that wastes everyone's time and tanks goodwill. Second: publishing the cancellation flow is a credibility signal. Platforms that hide cancellation are platforms that don't trust their product. We trust ours.
