Partner program FAQ
How is this different from Trainerize / Everfit affiliate programs?
Trainerize affiliate is 25% for 12 months. Everfit's is 20% for 12 months. Ours is 30% for life. On a Studio plan ($179/mo), that's $90/mo every month forever vs $74.75/mo for one year and then $0. Year-3 income difference is roughly 4-5×.
Can I stack the partner discount with the existing $50-off coupons?
Your custom coupon code gives clients $50 off setup. They can't stack it with another coupon — but you still get the full 30% commission. We eat the $50 discount on our side. Total client savings comes out of our margin, not your commission.
What if my referred coach upgrades from Coach to Studio later?
Your commission scales with them. They go from $14.70/mo (30% of $49) to $44.70/mo (30% of $149) the same month they upgrade. You don't have to do anything — the upgrade pulls forward automatically.
What if a coach signs up using my link, cancels, then re-signs up six months later?
Your attribution holds for 12 months from initial click, even on resubscribes. After 12 months, attribution clears unless they re-click your link. We err on the side of giving partners credit — if you initiated the relationship, you get paid.
Do partners get demo accounts to walk their audience through?
Yes — we'll set you up with a demo Cadence account loaded with example clients and programs so you can show your audience exactly what they're getting. Demo accounts are free and unlimited for active partners.
What's the application bar?
We approve ~70% of applicants. The bar isn't audience size — it's relevance and integrity. We'll approve a 500-follower coaching educator before we approve a 50K-follower general fitness influencer who'd dilute the audience. Pitch coaches honestly; we'll likely approve.
What disclosures am I required to make as an affiliate?
Required by FTC and applicable in every promotion you run. The FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require affiliates to clearly and conspicuously disclose any material connection to the brand — meaning your earning of a commission must be plainly stated wherever you promote Cadence. Acceptable formats include: "I earn a commission if you sign up through this link," "Affiliate link — I get paid if you join," "#ad" or "#sponsored" prominently in social posts, or equivalent plain-language disclosure. The disclosure must appear before the affiliate link, not buried below the fold or hidden in hashtag chains. Acceptance of this program constitutes your agreement to comply with these rules; non-compliance is grounds for immediate program removal and forfeiture of pending commissions, plus the FTC has held brands jointly liable for affiliate violations. If you're unsure whether a specific post complies, ask us before posting.
