Body-weight + activity + goal → daily calorie target + macro split. Same engine many coaches build into spreadsheets. Use it for client onboarding intake or as a starting point you tighten week by week.
Educational use only. This is a starting target, not medical advice. Calories and macros should be adjusted based on actual progress data — body weight trend over 14+ days, training performance, hunger/recovery signals. Cadence coaches use this as a v1 baseline and let the AI tighten weekly. Not for clients with eating disorders, medical conditions, or pregnancy without their healthcare provider's input.

Most weekly check-ins ask "how was your week?" and get "good." Useless. These are the questions that surface the actual variables — recovery, adherence, life-stress drag, signal vs. noise — so you can adjust the program before the client churns.

Most coaches under-price. The fix isn't "charge more" — it's matching pricing to delivery model. Pick the tier that matches what you actually deliver. Move up a tier when you've outgrown the one below.
Right tier if: you're starting out, building reps, charging less than your local gym membership.
Right tier if: you're full-time coaching, have 1-2 years experience, and your clients consistently see results within 8 weeks.
Right tier if: you specialize (postpartum, masters, comp prep, hybrid endurance) or your clients are professionals who value white-glove delivery.
Right tier if: you have credentials clients pay for (PhD, DPT, world-class athlete history, published work) or your niche is high-stakes (executive performance, comp athletes, pre-comp prep).
Right tier if: you coach professional athletes, executives with bodyguard-level access expectations, or you have unique credentials nobody else offers.
If you're charging Tier 1 prices but delivering Tier 3 service: you're under-paid. Most coaches in this position quit within 18 months. Either raise to match delivery, or lower delivery to match price.
If you're charging Tier 3 prices but delivering Tier 1 service: retention is going to drop hard around month 4. Either upgrade what you're delivering, or refund the difference and reposition.
